Product not eligible for returnThe Swift Protect Eco Dry 8,9Mm Night-Fire brand's Edelrid is a single, double and Combined rope recommended for mountaineering and rock climbing.
This dynamic rope benefits from a hydrophobic treatment ECO DRY that protects both the sheath and the core from water, dust and mud, with water absorption of less than 2% according to the Standard UIAA Water Repellent. Its polyamide and aramid composition ensures excellent cut resistance, particularly on sharp edges, thanks to an increased proportion of sheathing and the use of Aramid.
It also incorporates heat THERMO SHIELDtreatment, which guarantees lasting flexibility by perfectly aligning the fibres, thus preventing the rope from shrinking or hardening over time. The system 3D LAP COIL enables skein winding without twisting from the very first use, making it easy to handle.
With a diameter of 8.9 mm, a centre marking and a length of 80 m, this certified rope is a EN 892 technical UIAA 101 and ecological choice, labelled bluesign® PRODUCT for its respect for the environment and responsible manufacture.

The treatment involves a thermal process that perfectly aligns the core and sheath wires. A special heat treatment relaxes and then shrinks the fibres of the rope. This harmonises the sliding characteristics of the strands within the rope, making it flexible and compact. The result is the creation of ropes that will not shrink retrospectively or stiffen quickly. |
