Choosing the right belay device based on the discipline
To choose your belay device, you must first ask yourself what its use will be. Are you going to be doing indoor or outdoor climbing?
Once these questions answered, the choice is already made easier.
The main factors to consider
Whatever your discipline, a few aspects should be taken into account. We recommend using a lightweight and versatile belay device with a brake that can accommodate different rope diameters and elongations.
It is also important that the belay device has intuitive handling and an intelligent design.
