The hex: an essential climbing accessory
A piece of safety equipment designed for climbing, the hex uses the principle of camming action.
This element consists of several cams mounted on the same axis, so that a pull on the axis causes the cams to move away from each other and against the rock.
A variety of hexes are available on the Snowleader website
On the Snowleader website, you will find the ultimate reference in hexes, the Black Diamond Camalot. With its double axis design, this hex allows the use of larger cam heads and therefore offers a much greater variety of placements than conventional hexes.
Snowleader also sells renowned passive protection products that can be used for climbing almost everything, from granite walls to quartzite cliffs and much more.
