The Skimmer Eco Dry 7,1 mm Icemint brand's Edelrid is an extremely fine and lightweight Double rope.

It will meet the needs of climbers who count every gram when performing ice climbing or mixed terrain climbing.

Thanks to this technology Eco Dry, this rope is PFC-free and complies with the Standard UIAA Water Repellent. It absorbs less than 1 to 2 per cent of its weight in water. Furthermore, it is certified bluesign® PRODUCT and offers performance comparable to the series Pro Dry in terms of durability and abrasion resistance, water resistance and dirt.

This rope also undergoes a treatment Thermo Shield that first loosens and then tightens the fibres to ensure the rope remains supple. This technology 3D Lap Coil will prevent the rope from twisting or kinking, and make it easier to handle.

As such, the Skimmer Eco Dry 7,1 mm is one of the most ergonomic strings in its range.

TREATMENT THERMO SHIELD	This is the standard treatment applied to all strings to ensure their renowned flexibility Edelrid. The process involves a heat treatment that perfectly aligns the strands of the core and the sheath. A special heat treatment first relaxes and then shrinks the fibres of the rope. This ensures that the strands slide smoothly within the rope, making it flexible and compact. The result is the creation of ropes that will not shrink over time or become stiff quickly.
3D LAP COIL	No pre-lubrication is required before the first use. The ropes fitted with these are wound into a skein.
ECO DRY	Fully treatedEdelrid, meaning that both the sheath and the core of the rope have been chemically treated to be resistant to water, dust and mud. Water absorption of less than 2% according to the test UIAA Water Repellent.
