This is a rope for expert climbers, it is indispensable for ice climbers and high-level mountaineers. The Ice Line 8.1mm is extremely free-running and thin, with a very low weight of 39 grams per meter ! The thinness of this rope means that you need to have a good belay technique.
The Ice Line 8.1mm features the Unicoretechnology, which consists in bonding the core and sheath together, without changing the flexibility of the rope. This means that if the sheath is cut or torn, the core and sheath remain together, so there is no sliding between the two elements, even in emergency situations.
In addition, its Dry Cover treatment makes the Ice Line 8.1mm more resistant to water, abrasion and dust. This increases its life span
