With its excellent weight-to-technicality ratio, the Akila ice axe is very versatile, capable of excelling in mountaineering, ski touring, or ice climbing. Of type 1/B, it features an ergonomic head made of Chromoly steel and a curved shaft in anodised aluminium, a mix of materials that explains its exceptional lightness. Additionally, its adze is very effective for cutting steps into the ice or clearing accumulated snow, while its “banana” pick will surprise you with its ease of placement. Finally, its compactness makes it easy to carry inside your pack.
Fully equipped (with pick and guards included), the Akila ice axe is as comfortable on steep slopes as in mixed terrain, making it a must-have for all your adventures.
