The Backland 85 2027 is a touring ski from the brand Atomic. This model is the most versatile in the range, delivering strong performance both on the ascent and the descent.
The Backland range has built its success on its perfect adaptation to the two aspects of ski touring. Indeed, the Light Woodcore optimises the ski’s weight without sacrificing shock absorption or stability. Moreover, they perform equally well on hard-packed snow as in powder.
This new version features the Horizon 3D Backland tip, which offers a uniquely wider and bevelled three-dimensional shape, increasing the surface area to create a ski that floats better in powder and improves manoeuvrability in variable conditions. Its Cap Sidewall construction guarantees ideal power transmission as well as excellent grip on all types of terrain, and its tip rocker allows it to be comfortable in all snow conditions.
Highly versatile, it performs well on all terrains and offers stability worthy of alpine skis. Additionally, the layers of fibreglass along the entire length make the ski smooth and stable while remaining light and dynamic.
The Backland 85 is an easy ski to climb on, delivering impeccable performance on the descent, whatever the snow type encountered.
