60 days to change your mind
No subject to promotional offersThe Summit MIPS Matte White/Slate is a ski touring helmet from the brand Smith.
Here, there is only one priority: lightness. Smith combines all the most advanced technologies in this helmet model. At first glance, it reveals a minimalist and understated design, but it hides several details specially designed for mountaineering.
Since lightness must not come at the expense of safety, the Summit MIPS complies with international standards for alpine skiing, ski touring, and mountaineering. It incorporates several technologies for optimal protection. Furthermore, its MIPS® system allows the outer shell of the helmet to slide relative to the head upon impact, thereby protecting the brain, while the Koroyd® system absorbs the energy of the shock, all while being very lightweight.
It is also equipped with an antimicrobial lining, Ionic+®, which controls odours related to sweat. Additionally, thirty-three ventilation holes promote maximum airflow. Finally, its Smith x BOA® tightening system, foldable inward for easier storage of the helmet, allows you to perfectly adjust the helmet’s size to your head.
- Precise adjustment with Smith x BOA® foldable inside the helmet for easy storage
- 33 ventilation points
- AirEvac™ ventilation to prevent fogging on the mask lens (mask not included)
- Antimicrobial Ionic+™ lining to combat odours
- External loops on the side
- Compatible with cap and beanie
- Beanie lining for cold weather and carrying bag included in the kit
Certification: ASTM F 2040, CE EN 1077:2007 CLASS B, EN12492
| KOROYD™ | The primary purpose of Koroyd™ is to absorb energy upon impact and protect the user from serious injuries. In addition to being a leading energy absorber, Koroyd™ is also extremely breathable and ultra-lightweight. |
| MIPS® | Multidirectional Impact Protection System: MIPS® is a revolutionary technology that mimics the brain’s natural protection system. The low-friction layer of MIPS® creates a sliding margin between the helmet and the head, providing enhanced protection against brain injuries caused by violent rotational forces during oblique impacts. |
| BOA® | Adjustable Boa® systems gently distribute pressure for all-day comfort without weighing down your gear. |
