Splitboard bindings for hardboots -
The Sok is a splitboard binding from the brand Plum that offers a great alternative for all splitboarders who want to use hardboots for their touring trips with their splitboard.
Designed for extreme conditions, the will Sok give you greater precision so you can tackle steep slopes and icy snow. The baseplate incorporates the well-known jaw system from Plum and ensures a very good grip on both parts of your splitboard. Your splitboard will behave almost like a real snowboard.
As for the ascent, the Sok offers you two alternatives. Supplied with theinterface 's IMA/IMD ascent gear (and the descent gear, of course), you can use the ascent binding directly with the same system used by the Feyan and , Eterlou for example. This system Sok offers the first pair of splitboard bindings weighing less than 1 kg!
The second option is to use front toe pieces Low Tech such as Pekye. You will therefore use shoes with inserts Low Tech with a front overhang for ascent, which can also be used on the base plate Sok. This alternative replaces the gear for the ascent and will save you weight, improve efficiency and increase rigidity.
Avant-garde, Plum offers a new vision of splitboarding, reducing the overall weight of the material and thus improving performance on the ascent. The system Sok is an excellent choice for mounting on two-piece carbon splitboards. The system Sok+Pekye becomes very interesting on 4-part splitboards.
PLEASE NOTE: this model is sold with the two-part ascent IMA/IMD and descent interfaces and Sksplit knife frames. Front toe pieces Pekye are sold separately.
