The length of a snowboard is measured in centimetres. It depends on your weight, height and riding style. Here are the key guidelines:

• Under 140 cm: for children and very small builds. Highly manoeuvrable, ideal for beginners
• 140 to 150 cm: suitable for lighter riders, women or teenagers. Responsive and easy to handle
• 151 to 160 cm: the most common range for an average adult rider. Good balance between stability and manoeuvrability
• 161 cm and above: for heavier riders or those who prioritise speed and stability in freeride

Width matters too: if your shoe size is above 44-45, make sure the board is available in a wide version to prevent your toes from dragging in turns. At Snowleader, several models are available in wide versions for larger feet.
