The Rise High 88 is a ski touring ski from the brand Völkl that strikes the perfect balance between lightness and stability, ensuring you enjoy the ascent just as much as the descent.
Designed with a core Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore made from lightweight woods such as poplar and paulownia, this ski performs excellently on ascents whilst also offering good handling in difficult and narrow sections. What’s more, their weight of just 1 , 065 g per ski (excluding bindings) will be a real pleasure to carry on ascents. On the descent, the tip rocker provides exceptional floatation , whilst the flat tail offers rigidity for stability at high speeds.
The carbon-layer design at the core helps Rise High 88 to improve torsional rigidity and longitudinal stability. The use of carbon helps to reduce the weight of the ski. What’s more, the technology Smart Skinclip is integrated, making the fitting of the skins quick and easy, saving you time and energy on your ascents.

| Core - HYBRID MULTILAYER WOODCORE | The edge banding is laminated onto extremely stable layers of wood. This, combined with a more flexible and lighter wood inserted at the centre of the Construction, offers numerous advantages. The hardwood part immediately adjacent to the edge ensures high power transfer, improves edge grip and protects the sides from outer impacts. The reduced weight of the softwood part in the centre of the ski ensures greater agility and better handling, whilst reducing the ski’s overall weight. |
| Sole - P-TEX 4504 | A sole made of ultra-high-density sintered polyethylene with a very high molecular weight. As well as offering exceptional durability and perfect wax absorption, the technology P-Tex 4504 is extremely quick and is used exclusively on the brand’s top-of-the-range skis and competition models. The material has been enhanced with special additives to make it thermally and electrically conductive, and demonstrates its qualities by providing excellent glide and maximum speed during competitions. |
| SMART SKINCLIP | This system allows skiers to decide for themselves, depending on the situation, in which direction to attach and remove the skins. A regular carabiner at the rear end of the ski allows the skin to be attached and detached from the back. The cover can also be fitted and removed quickly and easily from the front. The elastic carabiner is easy to grip even when wearing gloves. A slight indentation at the tip of the ski helps guide the Hook sideways and prevents it from accidentally releasing the skin whilst walking. |
