The Prodigy 2 Capsule 2027 is a ski from the brand, Faction designed for freestyle skiing and all-mountain skiing and aimed at intermediate skiers.

The skis in this range Prodigy are designed for all-mountain skiing , though certain models feature specific freestyle or freeride characteristics.
All of them Prodigy are built in the same way and using the same technologies. They feature a directionalTwin shape with twin rockers at the tips , giving them excellent performance and handling on all types of snow, whether riding forwards or backwards. Only the core and the sidecuts vary from one model to another.

With a waist width of 98 mm, the Prodigy 2 Capsule is the most versatile ski in the range. Thanks to its poplar core, it’s responsive, lightweight and has excellent pop – essential for proper backcountry freestyle riding .
With this, all you need to do is apply a little pressure to the boards to get a big energy return , allowing you to make ever bigger jumps and clear higher bars.

The 2.5 mm XL edges and ultra-strong sidewalls ensure a longer ski life and consistent performance over time.

So, the Prodigy 2 Capsule is a truly versatile ski! In the air, it’s well-balanced, with the tip and tail offering a very playfulfeel. He’s in his element as soon as he leaves the groomed slopes, and even more so in Powder snow. Its medium dimensions mean you can really enjoy yourself, with good capacity to take-off and buoyancy.

With this model Faction, there are three binding options, from the most forward to the most rearward: Newschool / Progressive / Classic. By default, the assemblies will be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, namely Progressive on Dancer, Agent, Prodigy and La Machine ; Newschool on Studio.

POPLAR AND ASH WOOD	Poplar is a light-coloured softwood that offers good flex and pop, as well as excellent vibration-damping properties. Ash is a heavier, harder wood that pairs well with poplar, as it adds greater rigidity and durability. This combination offers excellent edge grip on hard snow and a solid platform for big receptions, as well as more than enough pop and flex to unleash your creativity.
2.5 MM XL EDGES	The 2.5 mm edges are 35% thicker than the regular 1.8 mm edges, which are already very resistant. The addition of steel ensures that skiers have a ski that will be more resistant to the rigours of certain types of skiing for longer.
SIDECUTS WITH AN ELLIPTICAL RADIUS	Ski sidecuts with elliptical radii consist of a longer radius under the foot and shorter radii at the front and rear of the ski. The long spoke under the foot allows for quicker and easier pivoting, whilst the shorter spokes enable smooth cornering. These sidecuts are ideally suited to a wide variety of lengths and curve angles.
MICRO-CAP ANTI-SHINE	The micro cap is a hybrid design that combines a premium edge-bonded sandwich construction with a lightweight, durable cap construction. Thanks to the sandwich micro-capconstruction, the board offers exceptional edge grip and torsional stability, whilst the topsheet covers the edge in a partial manner, thereby protecting the fragile edge that might otherwise chip on impact.
MOUSTACHE FLEX	Stability at the front and rear of the binding area ensures good edge grip. The soft, progressive flex at the heel and tip easily absorbs all bumps. This flex makes it easier to initiate and finish turns.
TWIN Directional	The tail is considerably narrower than the tip to deliver optimum alpine performance and tackle any conditions. The heel twin is designed to encourage a playful, freestyle style, making riding in switch a breeze.
Carbon/Rubber Stomp Pad	The carbon and rubber reinforcements underfoot increase the durability of freestyle skis where it matters most. As well as protecting the wooden core from impacts when landing on the rails, the carbon and rubber enhance stability and vibration absorption under your boots, making your receptions even more comfortable – for both you and your skis.
