Tornado x Beyond Medals 2027

Developed in collaboration with professional snowboarder Tor Lundström, the Tornado x Beyond Medals 2027 from Bataleon is a Twin Directional board designed for advanced to expert riders.
It combines the power of a freeride board with the agility of a freestyle model to offer great versatility, from aggressive carving to deep powder days. Its raised SideKick™ tips facilitate edge-to-edge transitions and improve flotation in deep snow. The MultiSync™ sidecut enhances edge hold to maintain precise control on all terrains. The Step Down profile gradually tapers the edges to reduce weight and optimise carving precision.
The Ultra Light Core, made from paulownia and poplar, offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. The Tri-Ax layup and carbon reinforcements provide responsiveness and power, while the D.R.S.T. SuperTubes technology strengthens edge grip. For powder days, the two Backseat inserts allow the bindings to be set back to maximise nose floatation. Finally, the Ultra Glide S grade 7000 sintered base guarantees extremely fast glide, while the Flex Walls absorb vibrations and improve durability.
A true high-end board designed to push the limits in all conditions.

| 3BT (TRIPLE BASE TECHNOLOGY) | Innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimises the potential for edge catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we refine each element according to the riding style desired by the board. |
| SIDEKICK | Increases the lift of the lateral base just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips resemble more of a shell, enhancing flotation in deep snow and cutting through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and smoothly from edge to edge. |
| SUPERTUBES | These are hollow carbon cylinders inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight, and significantly increase pop. By varying their placement, we can further fine-tune the board’s performance. |
| TRI-AX | Three-way fibreglass weave, lightweight, strong, and incredibly responsive. It is used to reinforce the flex pattern on our most aggressive boards. |
| ULTRA GLIDE S | A premium grade 7000 sintered base reserved for our high-end models. Incorporating more molecules into the P-tex makes it extremely durable and long-lasting. |
| TUBES DRST SUPER | Double super radial tubes similar to DST but with four additional super tubes parallel to the board’s radius, delivering extra power on the edges. |
