Le Rise Beyond 96 W is a freeride and ski touring ski from Völkl designed for advanced or expert skiers looking for versatility to tackle powder without sacrificing the ski's climbing ability.
Designed with a Multilayer Woodcore Light core made of poplar and beech, this ski provides excellent stability at high speeds and great grip on hard snow. Ultra-light, it is perfect for uphill skiing and its rocker on the spatula offers extraordinary flotation in fresh snow.
The 3D Radius Sidecut design allows the Rise Beyond 96 to perform well in large turns while being very manoeuvrable in short, narrow passages. It also features Smart Skinclip technology, which makes it easier and faster to apply the skins so you can save time and energy on your climbs.

- P-Tex 2100 sintered polyethylene base offers ideal strength and glide
- Tip Rocker with traditional camber at the waist
- Light multilayer woodcore (poplar and beech)
- Marker Kingpin or Alpinist bindings recommended
Side cuts: 138 - 96 - 119 mm
Weight: 2244g in 156cm
Turn radius 3D RADIUS:
The use of the long radius in the tip and tail for large high speed turns provides excellent manoeuvrability and easy turn clearance. The use of the shorter radius for short, medium-speed turns provides agility and easier corner entry for smoother short turns.
| Ski length | R1 (tip) | R2 (waist) | R3 (tail) |
| 156cm | 17 m | 12 m | 16 m |
| 163cm | 19 m | 14 m | 18 m |
| 170cm | 22 m | 16 m | 20 m |
Smart Skinclip:
This system allows the skier to decide, depending on the situation, which direction to put on and remove the skin. A standard carabiner at the rear end of the ski allows the skin to be attached and detached from the rear. The skin can also be applied and removed quickly and easily from the front. The spring carabiner is easy to use with gloves. A slight indent in the tip of the ski gives the hook lateral guidance and prevents it from unintentionally releasing the skin while walking.
