The Ova Freebird 2023 is a unisex touring ski from Black Crows and part of the brand's touring range.
As with for the entire Freebird, Black Crows range, Black Crows has sought the best compromise to offer skis that are lighter, but still highly technical and high-performing. With its light rocker tip, progressive lifted tail and soft flex, the Ova Freebird is a forgiving and reassuring ski, which nevertheless offers good stability along the entire length of the edge and an impeccable grip.
The shape remains unchanged and it has many of the same characteristics but with a core composed of lightweight paulownia mixed with fibreglass and carbon As a result the Ova Freebird only weighs 2250 g. It performs well in climbs: a true all mountain ski. A titanial reinforcement under the foot allows it to adapt to the new hybrid bindings and increase stability.
Ultra-light and manoeuvrable, this ski excels in both ascents and descents. Its soft sidecut and short radius give it a good pivot and make it very agile and powerful even on hard snow. The great ease-of-steering on piste and off, hard snow or powder, make this the ideal companion for those wanting a grippy ski that is always ready to head off for distant horizons.
The Ova Freebird is a ski of choice for all mountain lovers, who attach as much importance to the ascent as to the descent!
