The Morning Glory 2027 is a snowboard from the brand Amplid, designed for freeride use and aimed at advanced or expert riders.
For its comeback, Amplid decided to go all out and make it an ultra-performance board, packed with technologies and innovations. It is part of the Future Shapes range, a collection of boards specialised in powder snow.
On the agenda, a new directional shape with a huge nose and a short tail that literally allow it to float above the powder effortlessly, while maintaining great manoeuvrability. Moreover, its Cruise Camber consists of a long but low camber and an Early Rise front rocker, making it perfect for venturing into the pow but also carving big clean turns on groomed snow.
Still aiming for maximum floatation, the Morning Glory features Floatation Tips, a technology that maximises float without affecting speed.
As for the materials, it is built around a lightweight and durable Lite Core, a central carbon strip running the full length, bi-axial fibreglass, and even hardened glass inserts under the bindings. Combined with the stiff flex, the Morning Glory becomes a responsive board that efficiently absorbs vibrations for a very surfy feel.
As you can tell, the Morning Glory is made for riders who want to charge all day long in the pow and carve until they almost touch the snow with their nose on groomers.

| SIZE (cm) | SIDECUT LINES (mm) | RADIUS (m) | WEIGHT (G) |
| 160 | 313-264-288 | 9.1 | 3100 |
| TAPERED DIRECTIONAL | Classic shape with a nose longer than the tail for floatation in ungroomed snow. A "tapered" shape is one where the nose is wider than the tail, favouring entry and exit of turns. Stability at high speed and improved flotation guaranteed. |
| CRUISE CAMBER |
Standard camber underfoot complemented by rocker in the nose makes the board even livelier in powder and gives the board the ability to go anywhere. |
| ALL-TERRAIN TIPS | Slightly wider tips that increase floatation without impacting the board's responsiveness. |
| CORE LITE CORE | Ultralight core with the best power-to-weight ratio of the brand. |
| BIAX GLASS | Double layer of fiberglass applied in two directions for a responsive and forgiving board. |
| PRE-CURED IMPACT PLATES | Reinforcement of the core at the binding inserts limiting impacts caused by the bindings. |
| HEXO2 LITE | Turn to win with effortless style. Amplid’s HEXO2 core replaces some heavier wood areas at the tips with an ultralight honeycomb, virtually eliminating all swing weight. |
| CARBON POP BAND | A narrow band of unidirectional carbon reinforcements running along the centreline of a ski or snowboard, from tip to endpiece/hinge mount, increasing pop and extending flex memory without altering torsional stiffness. |
| JEKYLL & HYDE GEOMETRY | Provides maximum contact between the board and the snow to develop the greatest possible floatation. |
| THICK CUT | Thick cores feature a thicker profile at the tip and tail to accommodate a wider range of body types, reduce vibrations, increase targeted stiffness, and improve floatation, control, and stability in deep snow. |
| SINTERED 7 HD BASE | Ultra-high density sintered base, very hard and durable. This is the brand’s fastest base. |
