The Hovercraft 2.0 Far East Limited 2027 from the brand Jones is a benchmark in the freeride snowboard scene. What sets it apart is the extreme floatation it offers in powder.
Its name Hovercraft, literally meaning air-cushion vehicle, is proof of this, as it glides on the surface of the powder. This new 2.0 version has been slightly redesigned to provide a more aggressive turn initiation as well as better glide.
Its Directional Rocker profile features a very pronounced rocker at the front, allowing your centre of gravity to stay back to press the tail into the snow and thus experience unparalleled agility and floatation. The High 3D Base Contour technology curves the tips upwards, further enhancing the sensation of flying above the snow. Finally, its substantial waist width helps you float over fresh powder.
Powder is not the only domain where the Hovercraft 2.0 Far East Limited excels. Equipped with serrated edges High Traction Tech, the contact points between edge and snow are multiplied, ensuring reliable grip on packed snow. Add to that a layer of Biax Fiberglass which provides excellent energy rebound when flexed, a stiff flex rating of 3/5, and a large turning radius (9 m at 156 cm length), and you get a board capable of chaining endless carved turns!
Snowleader Tip: choose a size 6 to 8 cm shorter than your usual board.

| SHAPE DIRECTIONAL | The nose is longer and wider than the tail and the inserts are set back towards the rear of the board. These features help provide increased float in powder. |
| DIRECTIONAL CAMBER/ROCKER | Enhanced dominant camber with rocker in the nose and little to no rocker in the tail. The nose rocker improves float and manoeuvrability in deep snow, while the camber from the front binding to the tail offers excellent edge hold, precise response and confidence-inspiring stability. |
| HIGH 3D CONTOUR BASE | 3D Contour base focused on freeride with a 7 mm shovel bevel on the nose and 0 to 7 mm shovel bevel on the tail. The shovel bevel starts just before the contact point. |
| LOW TRACTION TECH | Like a serrated knife slicing through snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the length of your board. |
| RE-UP TECH CORE | Revolutionary wood core made from responsibly harvested paulownia and poplar with specially positioned stringers made from recycled snowboards. |
| TOPSHEET SUSTAINABLE FLAX TOP | Carbon-neutral flax fibre topsheet layer, abrasion-resistant and absorbs vibrations in rough snow. |
| BIAX FIBERGLASS | Biaxial fiberglass laminate made with a double-layer, bi-directional construction that offers a forgiving yet lively board feel with a medium-soft torsional flex and quick energy transfer. |
| SINTERED 8000 BASE | Premium sintered base material, ultra-fast, highly wax absorbent, easy to repair and proven as one of the most durable and long-lasting base materials in the industry. |
