Loft Tech Wash
Product not eligible for returnThis brand’s Nikwax product Loft Tech Wash is a detergent-free, biodegradable liquid soap for waterproof and breathable clothes.
It removes dirt and detergent residue whilst maintaining the fabric’s waterproof and breathable properties. Your waterproof garment may let water in simply because the durable water-repellent (DWR) treatment has been compromised by dirt or because it has been washed with standard washing powder. Dirt attracts water, and Classic detergents leave behind water-attracting residues that make the fabric damp in humid or rainy weather.
NikwaxIf your waterproof clothing or equipment is relatively new or has recently been treated with a waterproofing agent, washing it with Nikwax Tech Wash® this product will not only remove contaminants such as dirt and residues left by standard detergents, but will also revitalise the DWR. Washing your equipment regularly will improve its performance. If you clean your gear regularly, you’ll only Nikwax Tech Wash® need to wash it 5–6 times before it needs re-waterproofing.
Use in washing machine:
Shake well before use. Follow the advice on the clothes label. Do not use classic washing powder.
- Remove all tracks of detergent from the detergent compartment
- Place the item(s) in the washing machine (maximum 2 items)
- Use 150ml for hard water* or 2 x 100ml for soft water for 1–2 items
- Set the washing machine according to the care label for clothes
Hand use:
Use gloves to protect your hands.
- Place the item(s) in a basin containing 6 litres of lukewarm water (maximum 2 items)
- Use 150ml for hard water* or 2 x 100ml for soft water for 1–2 items
- Rinse thoroughly with clear water
* If your water is very hard, use 200ml
