| ALPRIDE E2 | The new Float™ E2 system uses an Alpride E2 supercapacitor to store the energy that powers the compressor during deployment. Supercapacitors store and release energy based on magnetic energy rather than a chemical reaction. This means that their performance is much more reliable in cold weather. For the same reason, the energy stored in a supercapacitor is released more quickly when it is activated for deployment. |
