No subject to promotional offersThe Explorer Black is a men's splitboard binding from the brand Union. It is a new version of the Expedition, inheriting the features that made the latter a success.
The Explorer model from Union is therefore ideal for intermediate to advanced riders looking to discover or rediscover the mountains and carve down the most remote slopes! With its minimalist design, it offers the perfect compromise between lightness and performance.
The Explorer bindings are very practical to use and easily mount on the 4x2 inserts of your splitboard. The EXP2 baseplate in Duraflex CB with natural flex provides ideal support for stable foot hold. The new Exoframe 4.0 and TS 2.0 W/Pin straps reduce pressure points around the ankle and toes while maintaining optimal support.
The central pin system has the dual function of securing the binding through the centre in descent mode and acting as a pivot in walk mode. Moreover, these bindings feature a double locking system with a rear lever, allowing easy and quick transition from climb to descent mode. To facilitate ski touring, the spoiler can be positioned in vertical mode to improve stride length. The heel endpiece, directly integrated into the binding baseplate, is easily adjustable to assist during steeper sections of the ascent.
Thus, the Explorer will accompany you to reach all summits and allow you to fully enjoy the descent once engaged!
