Exped is a brand specialising in camping, trekking and hiking equipment. It is renowned for its backpacks and ultra-light tents.
Exped tents, a varied selection
Exped offers a wide range of tents to suit all needs and budgets. The tents are available in different sizes, configurations and materials:
- The 3-season tent is lightweight, quick to pitch and easy to carry. This type of ultralight tent is comfortable and provides several storage spaces for your gear, bags and clothing. For year-round use and winter conditions, choose a 4-season tent.
- Exped offers several tent shapes: dome tents, tunnel tents and geodesic tents.
- As for materials, Exped uses, for example, 10D ripstop nylon for the outer of the Mira II HL model, 15D ripstop nylon for the inner with mesh fabric to prevent condensation even on very warm nights, and 20D ripstop nylon for the groundsheet.
To choose the right Exped tent, consider the number of people, size, your budget and your activity type.
Which accessories for your Exped tent?
Exped tents are quality products, but they can be further enhanced with the right tent accessories. The essential accessory is the footprint or groundsheet. It is placed under the tent to protect the ground surface and to shield you from moisture and discomfort. For rainy outings, a rain tarp will be useful. Exped offers a footprint that can also be used as a tarp or trap. You can also add a sleeping mat, sleeping bag, lighting, and more.
With Exped, each trekking tent comes (depending on the model) with V-pegs, guy lines, vestibule poles, repair sleeves, tent fabric patches, a storage bag, and more.
Advantages of the Exped semi-freestanding tent
Exped semi-freestanding tents are a compromise between non-freestanding and freestanding tents. These are the best trekking tents as they offer stability without needing to be fully pegged out and can be set up on all types of terrain. The semi-freestanding tent is easy to pitch and take down. Some Exped models feature a double roof for extra ventilation.
You will find the Exped semi-freestanding tent on Snowleader. Complete your basket with other products to make your expeditions more comfortable: backpacks, pillows, cushions, trekking mats, camping mats and sleeping bags.
