Avalanche beacon -

The Evo 5+ is a high-end avalanche victim detector (AVD) from the Arva brand that combines performance and compactness to meet the needs of the new generation of users.
Equipped with a search band width of 50 m, this device automatically switches back to transmit mode in the event of a secondary avalanche during your search. You can also easily ensure that the entire group has activated their AVD thanks to the Group Check function: simply place the device in proximity search mode.
In multiple victim situations, this device features a marking function for up to three victims and three antennas to refine search accuracy. You can also rely on the built-in speaker and the turn-around alarm that guides you back on track to find victims quickly and efficiently.
The icing on the cake: very compact, the Evo 5+ will easily fit into any pocket of your jacket while remaining quickly accessible.
As you can see, the Evo 5+, with its multiple features and great compactness, is perfectly suited to ensure your safety during your outings in snowy terrain.

| SEARCH BANDWIDTH | The search bandwidth corresponds to the area scanned by the search device. The wider the search bandwidth, the larger the area covered by the device. This can be used to compare the performance of different beacons. |
| AUTOMATIC RETURN TO TRANSMISSION | During a search, in case of a secondary avalanche, the return-to-transmit function automatically switches the device back to transmission mode without user intervention. The return to transmission occurs either by timer, that is, after a delay without user action, or by motion detector, after a delay without device movement. These delays can be configured in the device’s settings menu. |
| DYNAMIC INTERFERENCE MANAGEMENT | Interference management optimises the device’s search performance in an environment “polluted” by electromagnetic interference. To do this, the device in search mode automatically reduces the search bandwidth to focus on the signal of the sought device, ignoring spurious frequencies. This function can be disabled by the user. |
| GROUP CHECK | The Group Check function allows you to easily ensure that all group members are carrying a transmitting avalanche beacon. The group check function puts the device into proximity search mode, enabling individual checks of each group member by standing within one metre of them. |
| MARKING FUNCTION | During a search, once a victim is located, the marking function allows you to disregard that victim to focus on searching for another. The signal from the “marked” victim is no longer taken into account for the remainder of the search. |
| AUTOTEST | When switched on, the device performs an automatic check. It monitors battery level, the proper functioning of the device, and informs you if there is a problem. |
