No subject to promotional offersThe AK 121 is a backcountry ski developed by the Candide brand for expert skiers.
For this new season it has decided to develop a range of skis in the image of the international freestyle ski star Candide Thovex.
Its 121 mm skate, flat camber and double rockers (Powder rocker) give it outstanding speed and flotation in powder. The triple radius sidecut technology allows 3 different curve radii spread across the ski. On a spatula, this allows you to start turns quickly. With its large radius at the base, the ski will be at 100% of its capacity and will not move. In the heel, it provides a powerful release for cornering and stability at high speeds.
Designed with a core in paulownia wood and poplar sandwiched between layers of fibreglass and carbon, this allows for greater durability and lightness. Thanks to its rigid core, the ski will not move, even at high speeds. The dual mounting points allows 2 possible mounting positions, with Candide's personal mounting point for tracking straight at high speed in mogul fields or powder and a "normal" mounting point that suits most skiers and terrain.
The wood used comes from responsibly managed forests FSC wood. And the use of bio-based epoxy resin bio-based epoxy replaces petrochemicals with renewable materials such as vegetable oils. A good way to reduce your environmental impact.
The AK 121 is the widest and stiffest ski in the range. If your goal is to take on the steepest slopes, the biggest bumps or simply traverse the mountain at the speed of light, the AK 121 is the ultimate ski.

The Candide skis offer 2 types of mounting, one Regular and one recommended by Candide. By default the skis will be mounted in regular, if you wish a Candidemounting, please specify it in the mounting info.

Construction:
C-LIGHT CORE A core of very strong, lightweight paulownia and poplar wood sandwiched between layers of glass and carbon fibre.
TRIPLE RADIUS SIDECUT : There are three different curve radii on the ski (tip-skate-heel). The tight radius of the spatula means you can start turns quickly. A wider tail radius gives a powerful release for cornering and stability at high speeds. Finally, a consistent radius underfoot means that no matter where you mount it, the ski will be at 100% of its capacity.
POWDER ROCKER : Big rockers in the tip and tail and a flat camber underfoot give good flotation and speed off-piste.
DUAL MOUNTING POINTS : 2 possible mounting positions: Candide 's personal mounting point and a "normal" mounting point suitable for most skiers and terrain. Please note: If no details are given when the assembly request is made, our workshop will refer to the "normal" point.
