Kavu is an American brand founded in 1993 in Seattle by Barry Barr, a former fishing captain in Alaska. He found that traditional caps couldn't withstand the winds of the Bering Sea. Barry then designed his own model, the Strapcap, a canvas cap with a nylon strap to keep it securely in place. Kavu was born.
More than thirty years later, the brand offers a complete outdoor lifestyle range: bags, fleeces, t-shirts, shirts and accessories. All with a distinctive DNA: bright colours, bold prints, relaxed fits and a "good times" philosophy.
The Rope Bag, the brand's icon
If one product symbolises Kavu, it's the Rope Bag. This cotton canvas sling bag, with its adjustable rope strap and safety buckle, has been an American outdoor staple for over fifteen years. Two zipped compartments, two small pockets, a padded back: a simple and effective design, available in dozens of prints and colours.
