Why choose a Groenberg rooftop tent?
A rooftop tent completely transforms the travel experience in a van, 4x4, or converted car. It offers a real elevated bed, sheltered, without relying on campsites or improvising a night under the stars. Groenberg tents focus on several key advantages:
- Quick setup: once the tent is fixed to your vehicle's roof bars, it deploys in just a few minutes. This saves significant time compared to a traditional ground tent
- Sleeping comfort: integrated mattress, ventilation through multiple windows. Nights in a rooftop tent are close to the comfort of a fixed bed
- Durable materials: technical fabric, reinforced seams, and a structure built to withstand repeated outdoor use
- Weather protection: depending on the model, good waterproofing and wind resistance let you sleep soundly even in unpredictable weather
- Travel freedom: you have your home wherever you park, without relying on accommodation availability
Groenberg rooftop tents for all your adventures
A Groenberg rooftop tent adapts to many uses, depending on your travel plans:
- Road trips: move from place to place without booking ahead, sleeping wherever you choose. The rooftop tent is ready to use at every stop
- Touring camping: faster to set up than a classic tent, it makes overnight stops on long journeys easier
- Mountain or seaside getaways: long weekends, spontaneous trips, or longer expeditions, the rooftop tent suits any duration
Groenberg models meet a variety of needs depending on size (number of sleepers), packed size on the roof, and opening type (hard shell, soft shell, hybrid). Always check compatibility with your vehicle and roof bars before purchasing.
Find your Groenberg rooftop tent
Before choosing your Groenberg rooftop tent, here are a few key criteria to check:
- Capacity: two-person for couples, three or four-person for families. Note that the stated capacity and real comfort also depend on mattress width
- Weight: rooftop tents generally weigh between 50 and 80 kg. Check the maximum load allowed by your roof and roof bars before buying
- Packed and open dimensions: floor length determines sleeping comfort. Packed height determines if you can still access covered parking or a ferry
- Ease of setup: models with assisted opening deploy in minutes. Soft shell models require a bit more handling but are still quick to install
- Included accessories: mattress, ladder, protective cover-are they included or extra? These are important points to check before buying
