The brand drew inspiration from the needs and experience of Mike Graham who, back in the 1980s, had set out to identify the essential features of a good pair of climbing pants. This led to the creation of the Gramicci Pant, a pair of pants featuring back pockets, an elasticated waistband and a waistband that can be easily adjusted with one hand, as well as a loose hip fit and a gusset in the crotch to allow for great freedom of movement.
