| EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) | A sole EVA is a plastic sole, which can be lighter and more flexible than rubber. EVA stands for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. It is an elastomeric polymer that produces "rubbery" materials, due to its softness and flexibility. This plastic is manufactured by combining ethylene and vinyl acetate to create rubber-like properties that can be used for shoe soles. |
| AMAZONIAN RUBBER | Each VEJA sole is made of 20-30% rubber from the Amazon rainforest. The seringueiros (rubber tappers) are paid according to fair trade principles. The use of this Amazon rubber increases the economic value of the forest and protects it from deforestation |
